Privacy policy
What stays on your device, what you choose to share, and how MizuCue handles your information.
Effective September 7, 2026
MizuCue and your data
MizuCue is operated from the United States by Hilay Khatri, who controls the beta-request and support information described here. This policy covers the MizuCue app, website, beta, and support.
The app needs no account, includes no ads or third-party analytics, and does not automatically upload connection history to us. History stays on your device unless you choose iCloud backup or export and share a report. Website requests and TestFlight feedback are handled separately below.
Connection checks and permissions
MizuCue processes connection status, router and internet reachability, DNS results, response times, interruptions, coverage, network identifiers, and settings to provide Status, History, events, and reports. Available Wi-Fi details depend on the operating system and permissions.
Your device contacts selected providers, such as Cloudflare, Google, or Microsoft, and enabled website diagnostics, including custom destinations. They receive ordinary request information, including your public IP address, under their own policies. Checks do not send stored history. You can change or disable destinations in the app.
Local Network permission allows gateway checks. Optional Location While Using the App permission provides Wi-Fi details protected by iOS. MizuCue does not build or store location history. Optional notifications report observed interruptions and responses on this device. Manage permissions in device settings.
History, backups, and reports
Connection history is stored locally for up to one rolling year. Detailed records may cover shorter periods. A subscription changes access, not the collection period. Canceling or allowing a subscription to expire does not delete local history or existing backups.
Optional backups are compressed files in your own iCloud Drive. We cannot access your iCloud account or backups. Turning off backup or deleting local history does not remove existing backups; delete those separately through Apple's Files app. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud.
PDF and optional CSV reports are created on-device. Custom names, custom hosts, and router addresses are hidden by default; public test endpoints remain visible. You may include identifiers, notes, a provider name, or a case reference. Review these before sharing: your own text may identify you. Temporary export files remain on-device for sharing and later cleanup.
You choose which apps or recipients receive reports. Their handling is outside MizuCue's control. Deleting history or the app does not delete saved or shared copies.
Beta, support, and purchases
The website stores your beta-request email, consent and policy-version records, request source and status, and timestamps in a Cloudflare-hosted database. It does not ask for age or country, or intentionally store IP addresses or browser user agents there. Joining through a public TestFlight link without the form creates no website request record.
Support and voluntary feedback may include contact details, community usernames, device and network details, messages, and screenshots. We use them to administer testing, respond, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and improve MizuCue, never for unrelated marketing. Do not send passwords, private backups, or home addresses. Redact sensitive details; community posts may be public.
Under Apple's TestFlight terms, Apple automatically provides crash and usage data. Available information can include invitation details, device, system, performance and network information, screenshots, and comments. Public-link testers may appear anonymously unless they supply contact information. Apple controls its own retention.
Apple processes payments. We do not receive card details or Apple Account credentials. The app uses limited StoreKit purchase, renewal, trial, expiration, and verification information to manage paid access and restore purchases.
Providers, sharing, and security
Cloudflare provides hosting through OpenAI Sites and may process request and security metadata. Apple, email providers, and community services you use, such as Discord or Reddit, process relevant information to provide their services. See Cloudflare's privacy policy, Discord's privacy policy, and Reddit's privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or data-broker purposes. Developer-held information may be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary for valid legal process, security, fraud or abuse investigations, enforcement of our terms, or protection of rights and safety.
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted website connections and restricted access. Providers receive information needed for their services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
The website does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and other request metadata to deliver and secure the website. Cloudflare security cookies (including __cf_bm) and browser checks help prevent abuse. We do not track visits across other websites, and the website does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track signals.
To prevent signup abuse, we count attempts using a daily, secret-keyed IP identifier. This limiter does not store raw IPs or link its identifier to email. Counters expire at UTC midnight and are deleted on the next valid signup attempt.
Retention and your choices
Beta request and consent records, recruitment messages, and developer-exported tester records are deleted within 90 days after the beta ends. Longer retention is limited to legal obligations, security or abuse issues, or release-blocking defects. Ordinary support records are kept while needed to resolve the request and related issues, then deleted unless those exceptions apply.
You can request earlier deletion or withdraw consent through Support. We verify requests proportionately. Delete local history in Settings and clear events in History; remove iCloud backups and saved reports separately. You can stop testing in TestFlight and request deletion from Apple for information Apple controls.
Privacy rights and international use
Where applicable, we process beta requests with consent, beta administration as needed to provide the requested service, and support and security information for legitimate interests or legal obligations. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, withdraw consent, and complain to your data-protection authority. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. We respond within applicable legal deadlines.
Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, lawful transfer safeguards apply; contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your request. Your connection history is not placed in the beta-request database.
MizuCue is a general utility, not directed to children. TestFlight eligibility and parental requirements apply. Contact us if a child has supplied personal information so we can address it under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We update this policy and its effective date when practices change. For material changes, we provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required before applying new uses to previously collected information.
Send questions or rights requests to support@mizucue.com. Support has practical instructions. Previous policy: September 5, 2026.
