How MizuCue checks your connection.
MizuCue checks three parts of the connection from one iPhone, then keeps the moments it was able to measure so you can inspect what changed.
One connection, checked in three places
Each check answers a narrower question. Together, they show where the connection still responded and where attention was needed.
This iPhone
Shows whether the phone has a usable network connection and whether MizuCue has the access it needs.
Wi-Fi router
Checks whether the local router responds when the network allows a direct check.
Internet
Checks whether the selected internet destinations respond from this iPhone.
Status shows what is happening now
Status labels such as Working, Limited check, and Weak Wi-Fi signal summarize what this iPhone can currently observe.
History keeps the moments that were measured
Inspect recorded times, response times, interruptions, and connection events. Gray periods mean MizuCue did not record a check, so they are gaps in coverage rather than recorded outages.
Live History begins quickly
During the first five measured minutes, History updates frequently so the first picture forms quickly. It then settles into its normal refresh cadence while monitoring continues.
Connection events group meaningful changes
Detection sensitivity controls how long router or internet trouble must continue before MizuCue records an event. Events describe what this iPhone observed, not confirmation that a provider or device caused the problem.
Website and DNS checks add context
Selected website and DNS checks help show whether particular destinations responded. They do not represent a worldwide service status or a guarantee that every path is working.
Your History stays local first
No measurement account is required. History stays on the iPhone by default, with optional backup files stored in your own iCloud Drive when you turn backup on.
Live Status and the latest hour are free
MizuCue retains up to one rolling year on the iPhone. The annual subscription unlocks History and reports covering up to one year, including older connection events and PDF export with optional CSV. Measurements stay on your iPhone.
What an iPhone can and cannot record
MizuCue keeps an honest boundary around missing evidence.
- MizuCue checks while iOS allows the app to run.
- iOS may suspend the app when it is closed or in the background.
- A gray period means no check was recorded during that time.
- The current beta is for iPhone. The Mac app is still in development.
